Business Portrait Terms & Conditions

The booking fee: This fee is a retainer, towards the photographers time, it is non-refundable but maybe applied to a rescheduled session if necessary within six months. Booking fees are due immediately, payment secures your session date, includes your gallery and your two chosen images.

Rescheduling: If you are ill, please do call as soon as possible to reschedule. I maintain the right to reschedule if needed due to inclement weather (outdoor sessions) illness, emergency, etc.

After the session: Your gallery will be ready to view 2-3 days after your session. It will be live for 5 days to choose your included images and order any others if you wish.

Creative licence: As the photographer I will be granted complete artistic licence in relation to poses photographed and the locations used and my judgement regarding the locations/poses and number of images taken will be final. Images are edited at my discretion, so the images shown in your gallery will not include all images shot at the session. I reserve the creative right remove duplicates, blinks etc and to edit and release only images I deem fit with in my artistic standards.

Images: I will provide a pleasing colour balance but cannot guarantee exact colour matching. Owing to anomalous reflectance it is sometimes impossible to record the exact colour as seen by the human eye.

Your gallery images will have basic retouching with an example of full retouching; your chosen photographs will be fully retouched; any special requests in this area please ask. Subtle skin smoothing and spot removing is included.

Image archives: All portraits from your session will be kept for one year after the viewing and ordering session, though due to the nature of digital media no guarantees can be made. After this time they may be deleted if necessary to make room for other sessions.

Orders and payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking/ordering. Bank transfer and credit cards via a secure online form are accepted. Digital files will be sent via ‘We Transfer’ or via USB at additional cost.

Refund policy: Due to the nature of photography and digital media all sales are final.

Copyright: Jennifer Clare Photography retains copyrights on all images and reserves the right to use these images for display, publication and marketing (unless requested otherwise). No use of the images will be made by the photographer for other commercial reason except with the written permission of the client. The client may use images for personal and business use across all media, but not for profit or in competitions, without written permission.

Digital Images: Your images will be cropped and coloured how I believe they will print best and for your convenience, will be provided ready sized in standard print sizes up to 12″x8″ sizes suitable for web use, plus square crops for LinkedIn etc.
To ensure the best print quality avoid altering images before printing. Jennifer Clare Photography is not responsible for printing errors or for quality of prints or products not printed directly by me.

Liability: In the unlikely event that I am unable to perform due to illness, fire, accident, strike, or any other cause beyond our control, then your session fee will be returned, but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged or lost in processing through camera or media malfunction without fault on my part. In the event that I fail to perform for any other reason, I shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of your order.
