Hi Jennifer, this is quite a long story all based around your photograph of the Ferry Bridge in Burton on Trent which is currently undergoing refurbishment and the Civic Society as well as Friends of the Ferry Bridge (a Facebook Group) have, together with STaffordshire County Council and East Staffs Borough Council formed a Working Group to ensure that the refurbishment is undertaken sympathetically to the bridges history. Your photograph shows the bridge in its magenta and cream stage and much as I might like to purchase the photo, regrettably this is not the purpose of my contacting you. The contact is to ask whether you just happen to know the year that the photograph was taken. One of the sub groups is performing Research, to ascertain what colour the bridge should be painted and what colour the bridge has been painted in the past and obviously as you have this photograph which I saw on the internet I was hoping you might know when it was taken.
