As my profile photographs were ten years old, updating them had been on the to do list a while! This years impending big birthday gave me a bit of a nudge. Due to the current lockdown, the modus operandi was tripod and self timer, rather than giggles with my daughter.

I was looking forward to this birthday (surprisingly). I had lots of plans with family and friends… sadly these are now all on hold. FaceTime and WhatsApp are likely to feature heavily in my rather muted celebrations; no meals out or visitors and the holiday I’d planned with my children has been put back to September.

I’m not complaining though, I’m lucky and feel for those on the front line fighting the unseen menace that’s devastating so many lives.

Sixty is rather a milestone and has me considering my future as a child and family photographer. Ideally I’d like to continue until at least 2022/23, but beyond that I’m not sure; I will be decluttering, clearing hard-drives of old sessions and hopefully experimenting more with film.

I’ve a new pricing structure and more streamlined product offerings, which are now easily viewable on my site. Not yet listed is an add-on mini album, that has £100 from each sale going to my chosen charity; Rainbows Hospice, but I’ll happily tell you more if you get in touch.

Whilst I obviously haven’t been working recently, I’m happy to shoot nuclear families in open spaces with my longer lenses (current guide lines permitting) please email if you’d like to discuss.
