I visited Burton-on-Trent library this morning, the first time in more years than I care to remember.  When I was a child I lived in Burton’s library, but then it was a beautiful old rickety, many storeyed building – a place full of wonder and magic.  However it was demolished in the 70’s and has been replaced with an ugly but functional building, lacking in any charm, except for a few short weeks commencing this week!  My daughter’s photography class has an exhibition there – I’m sure it isn’t my imagination – her’s are in pride of place    ;-)
